Reconstituted tobacco

The PAPCEL Group supplies machinery for manufacturing reconstituted tobacco paper (tobacco paper based on recycled tobacco waste). The production of reconstituted tobacco paper is an environment-friendly advanced process with significant social and economical aspects.

Today only a part of tobacco in cigarettes comes from genuine tobacco leaves grown on plantations. In fact, a great deal of pulped brown fibres in the cigarettes is paper called reconstituted tobacco or homogenised tobacco leaves made from cellulose and pulped tobacco waste. Then the cigarette makers impregnate tobacco paper with nicotine and other admixtures.
