Filter paper

PAPCEL markets complete stock preparation lines and paper machines manufacturing filter papers. Filter papers are used in almost all industrial branches, most often: automotive filter papers for air, oil and fuel filters, vacuum cleaner bag papers, filter cartonboards for air fresheners, technical filter papers and cartonboards based on chemical pulp used for filtering various liquids in chemical and pharmaceutics industries, filter papers for filtering edible liquids (oil, wine...) in food industries, laboratory filter papers used in all laboratories, medical facilities, research institutions etc., wallpaper base (fleece) layer determining the wallpaper adhesiveness.

This is a reference solution of a stock preparation line (SPL).

(aka LyocellⓇ, aminoxide solvent-based viscose rayon), diatomite 


The SPL consists of:

  • Softwood chemical pulp refining line
  • Hardwood chemical pulp refining line
  • TencelⓇ refining line
  • Diatomite slurrying line
  • Broke line
The SPL layout depends on the manufactured product grade. The SPL processes above all materials for manufacturing filter boards used in beverage industry to filter wine, beer and other alcoholic and soft beverages.



The depth filter boards are made from healthy-safe raw materials, above all various sorts of chemical pulps and quality diatomite.



Chemical pulp is refined for various paper grades to 15 - 70°SR.
The overall specific energy consumption (SEC) of the lines above is approx. 330 kWh/t.



The broke line is used to process broke.
The broke line SEC is approx. 70 kWh/t.

High-throughput former
Using long fibres and very low stock consistencies (approx. 0,01%), good and homogeneous formation can be achieved.
