Auditing and consulting

PAPCEL offers complete PMs and SPLs auditing.

We check-up and measure PM particular parts or complete nodes, on the basis of the found data we elaborate complete proposals to supplement, modify or completely rebuild PMs. Complete technical reports incl. recommendations to replace machinery are included in carried-out audits.

        

Auditing stages


1. Preparatory works

  • Collecting data and information before leaving for the customers': 
    • Manufacturing data (paper sorts, work speeds, manufactured paper deckle, achieved dry matter of particular manufactured paper sorts;
    • Drawings of the existing machinery, diagrams of ventilation and steam & condensate systems, analyses of the PM clothing suppliers;
    • Other documents and data needed for the specialists preparations before their leaving for the customers';
  • Communicating with the customers by means of drawings of the existing machinery, diagrams of ventilation and steam & condensate systems, analyses of the PM clothing suppliers;e-mail or skype systems aiming to thorough audit preparations;
  • Considering best mill measuring terms concerning the customers' manufacturing plans, preliminary approval of the specialists' arrival date - the dates to be determined by the customers.

2. Paper machine/stock preparation line inspection

  • Arrival to the mill - meeting with the customer's operation personnel, presenting inspection nature and aims, considering inspection specifications and work schedule;
  • Inspection of the paper machine, manufacture parameters and conditions during production of particular paper grades, inspection of particular machinery parts and places - the customer should arrange protective equipment needed to inspect certain machine parts (work and/or support scaffolding, travelling lifting platforms etc.);
  • Checking up condition of the machine, hood and auxiliary equipment, instruments etc.;
  • Meeting/consulting with the supplier of felts;
  • Collecting current data, documentation, diagrams and other information from the customer's operation personnel connected with carrying out the inspection and check-up;
  • Machine examination and survey - measuring, control board displays check-up, displayed data copies, collecting data from the operation personnel and managers in charge of the PM opeation;
  • Carrying out further measurings beyond the offer scope needed to better understand and assess operation of the particular equipment parts;
  • Physical check-up of the ventilation system, i.e. - fans and their accessories - heat exchangers, air heat exchangers - review of heat leakage places
  • Check-up of the shop air-conditioning current state - to obtain an overall information, unsatisfactory condition deteriorates the hood energy performance and generally the same of the PM drying part;
  • Final meeting with the customer's team collaborating on the PM inspection;
  • Necessary instruments and measuring gauges: electronic thermometric probes, hydrometer, pyrometer, anemometer.

3. Elaborating inspection report

  • Calculation tables incl. all the data of all the measured processes and their results;
  • Water, air and energy balances;
  • Steam balance and steam consumption calculation, heat balance of the hood and shop at various manufacture modes; the obtained results to be compared to more PMs of other manufacturers making similar paper grades;
  • After finishing mill measurings; after calculations and analyses; after calculating the dryness on the drying part input; and on the grounds of the dryness aimed after the PM planned rebuild there will be re-calculated the energy consumption for each planned PM rebuild phase;
  • Recommendations concerning particular machinery nodes supplementing or their refurbishing/upgrading to achieve PM aimed parameters in particular rebuild phases;
  • List of recommended upgrades necessary to achieve planned increasing productivity and reducing steam consumption for particular rebuild phases; each machinery part to be replaced should be described incl. commenting its current state and advantages/benefits of its replacement should be described from the energy (steam) consumption viewpoint;
  • The report will be handed over to the customer in .pdf format.
